Privacy notice
This notice says what this website collects about you, why, for how long, who else handles it, and what you can do about it. It is written to the notice pattern of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Rules made under it, and it is short because we collect very little. PlanSieve Private Limited (CIN U62011KA2026PTC228311), Bengaluru, India, trading as PlanSieve, is the data fiduciary, the party that decides why and how the data is processed. You can reach us at hello@plansieve.com.
1. What we collect
Itemised, because the law asks for it and because it is easy to list:
- When you use a form (request a demo, or send yourself the walkthrough): your work email address; and, if you choose to give them, your company, your role, a message of up to 2,000 characters, and a rough size of your planning data. The form also records which of the two requests you made and the time it arrived.
- When you load any page: the host's edge network keeps ordinary server logs for a short time, the address your request came from, the page requested, the time, and your browser's identifying string, for security and to keep the site running. We do not combine these with the form.
- In your own browser: your light-or-dark preference, if you set one, is stored in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and it is not personal data. We set no cookies of our own.The cookies page says how.
We do not collect payment details, government identifiers, precise location, or anything about you from other sources.
2. Why we collect it
To answer your request, and nothing else. A demo request is read by a person and answered from hello@plansieve.com. A walkthrough request sends you one email with the link. We do not add you to a marketing list, a newsletter or an automated sequence unless you separately ask to be added, and we do not sell or share your details for anyone else's purposes.
Server logs are used only to operate and secure the site. Analytics on this site is aggregate and cookieless (see section 4) and cannot identify you.
3. How long we keep it
- Form submissions stay in our mailbox until the conversation they started ends, and at most twelve months from the last message. Then they are deleted. If a conversation becomes a customer relationship, that relationship's agreement takes over.
- Edge server logs are held by the host for its short standard retention and then discarded.
4. Who processes it for us
A small number of service providers handle this data on our behalf, under their own contracts and security commitments. They act only on our instructions:
- Cloudflare: hosts and serves the site from its edge network; runs the verification check on the two pages with a form (Turnstile); and provides the site's analytics, which are cookieless and aggregate.
- Resend: the relay that carries a form submission to our mailbox and sends you the acknowledgement.
- Titan: the domain's mail service, which hosts the mailbox that hello@plansieve.com lands in.
The current list, with each provider's role and location, is kept on the sub-processors page.
5. Your rights, and how to use them
You can, at any time and at no cost:
- ask what we hold about you and receive a copy;
- correct it, or have it erased;
- withdraw consent to any processing that rested on it. Withdrawing is as easy as giving it was: one email;
- nominate another person to exercise these rights for you, where the law provides for it;
- complain, to us first and then to the authority (section 6).
To use any of them, write to hello@plansieve.com from the address we hold, or tell us how to verify it is you. We answer within the time the law allows, and usually much sooner.
6. Grievance contact and complaints
Grievances about how we handle your personal data go to our grievance contact, hello@plansieve.com. Put “privacy” in the subject line so it is read first. We acknowledge every grievance and respond within the period the Rules prescribe.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it is receiving complaints. Visitors in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom may complain to their local data-protection authority (section 9).
7. Where the data travels
This site is served from a global edge network, so a page request, and its server log, may be handled at the edge location nearest you, wherever that is. The relay and the mailbox are operated by the providers in section 4, in the regions they publish. Each provider commits to safeguards for transfers in its own terms.
8. Children
This site is for businesses and the people who plan for them. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to us and we will delete it.
9. For visitors in the EU, EEA and UK: the GDPR basics
If the General Data Protection Regulation (or the UK GDPR) applies to you, the following adds to everything above. Controller: PlanSieve Private Limited (trading as PlanSieve), Bengaluru, India, reachable at hello@plansieve.com. Lawful bases: answering a request you made (our legitimate interest in responding to you, and the steps you ask us to take before any contract); running and securing the site (legitimate interest); and your consent, for anything you opt into separately, which you can withdraw at any time without affecting what came before. Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and the right not to be subject to solely automated decisions. None are made here. Transfers: the providers in section 4 process data outside the EEA under their published transfer mechanisms. Complaints: to your local supervisory authority, at any time. We have not appointed an EU representative; we will when the law requires one.
10. Changes to this notice
When this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it, and a material change is announced on our news page. We do not change what we do with data you have already given us without telling you first.
